What to expect in NET

We begin by creating your timeline, marking both positive and negative life events. This serves as your table of contents, giving us a clear framework to work from.

Each session, you’ll write about a section of your timeline and bring it into therapy, where you’ll read it aloud. This isn’t about rehashing pain, it’s about noticing patterns, making connections, and deciding what meaning you want to take from your experiences.

We process themes backwards, never forwards, allowing your understanding to deepen with each session. This keeps everything linear and organized, preventing your past from feeling like a tangled mess.

When we reach the present day, you’ll add a title, dedication, and an “About the Author” section, a way to reflect on what your story means now and what you want to bring with you into the future.
